Carrollton High School
The Kell boys lacrosse team traveled to Carrollton on Thursday night to take on the Trojans and came away with a 14-2 victory. The team was led by a stingy defense that only allowed two goals the entire game and those came in the first quarter.
The defenses was led by goalie Luke Harris (Sr.) who recorded five save on the night. The rest of the defense, Colin Lumsden (Sr), Brandt Bettis (So), Keaton Chang (So), Jake Hanak (Jr), Cam Hood (Sr) and Connor Rutherford (Sr) gave Harris plenty of support forcing many turnovers and limiting the Trojans shot opportunities.
The offense started slow, but was able to pick up the pace as the game went on, scoring seven goals in each half.
The offense was led by Conner Cook (Sr) with six points (4g, 2a), Griffin Knor (Jr) had five points (3g, 2a) and Noah Swift (Sr) had four goals. Three players had one goal each and Trey Standfill (Fr) handed out 3 assist.
The Longhorns will be back in action on Tuesday as they will be home to take on Mt. Paran at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing everyone at the first home game.
